Au Temps Sushi | Mobile app design concept
Design an easy way for customers to order sushi online via a mobile device for the popular local restaurant, Au Temps Sushi.
Happiness is longing for repetition.
There’s no easy way to place an order online and have my food ready for me to pick up. Each trip to Au Temps Sushi is a time waster.
Each time I fancy food from Au Temps Sushi, I can either:
1) stand in line, place my order and wait (20-25 min give or take) or
2) place my order over the phone and have it waiting for me to collect when it is ready.
Create a beautiful simple app for Au Temps Sushi that allows a customer to place a food order via mobile device with minimal effort.
Simplicity is the key.
If it’s clumsy, complex or takes too long, this defeats the purpose. It has to be easy, quick and user-friendly.
After defining the problem and identifying the solution, the next step involves design planning and research. In this phase, I built an inspirational mood board, sketched out ideas and designed task flows & wireframes around user requirements.

After brainstorming, sketching out ideas and creating rough wireframe task flows, I’m ready to start working on hi-fidelity mockups based on items gathered in the planning phase.

Returning users who are authenticated have access to a personalised screen showing Account settings and be presented with an option to re-order from historical orders as well as faster track payment.
After completing all the essential screens and flows based on the user requirements, the final step is to create an interactive prototype so that we can validate the user flows and usability with the team and actual users via usability studies.
